Hey 👋 so my full name is Ssempijja Charles, product designer by trade and a builder by sale. I got introduced to computers by a cafe near our house as a kid and i have not been able to drop that love for computers till today.

I started out playing video games (which i am horrible at) but later got into dejaying (at this point my dad thought i was making very bad career choice) then i moved to learning music production on my very clanky laptop which could not run FL studio even if that meant saving its life. By this point i was in high school around the time which COVID hit and reset the world. I moved back home and started learning web development and created my first websites. A few months after that o started learning UX design as a discipline (had got into uni here) and graduated a few years later witha degree competely different from my passions.

What does a day in my life look like?

Well i currently work as a freelance product designer and web dev so my day involves balancing a couple of projects. However as per now most of my time is spent at Boda Guy where i have worked for the past 2 or so years. Here i am the head of product and that means spending the day in Figma, doing research to build out features, helping enfineering or making sure our website is having a good time.
